Treat Tesla as your co-pilot. It is a revolutionary piece of AI that is still "learning." The "recall" isn't a sign that the tech is failing, but a reminder that human-machine communication is failing. Tesla is telling the world the car can drive itself; the law (and the software's current state) says you must stay alert.
The ultimate safety risk isn't the software—it’s the gap between what the driver thinks the car can do and what the car can actually do. For now, Waymo closes that gap by taking the wheel entirely. Tesla leaves that gap open for you to bridge.
